Michael is a Gameplay, Encounter, & Level Designer based in Los Angeles, CA. Recently Michael has served as the Dungeon Feature Lead on the Raids & Dungeons Team for Destiny 2.
After double-majoring in Interactive Media and Film Production at the University of Southern California in 2015, he developed Ectoplaza for the Wii U with Syndicate Atomic while serving as product manager on the Star Wars app and other mobile titles at Disney Interactive. Michael was then recruited by GUTS Department as designer for their ambitious tower-defense platformer hybrid Aegis Defenders, which released on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC/Mac in February 2018 to critical praise. Michael then worked with Batterystaple Games on Mega Man-inspired procedural roguelike 30XX.
Michael is deeply familiar with the design and production of both independent and AAA titles, and has collaborated with fellow designers, engineers, animators, and producers across all manner of team sizes to create award-winning games. He's excited for what's ahead!
